Savannah- Herschel Earl Walker, 95, died at Candler hospital.
He was born October 1, 1922 in Savannah, GA and lived there his entire life.
He was a WWII veteran of the US army.
Graduated from the University of Georgia upon his return from serving in WWII.
Devoted husband of Laverne Walker for 69 years. Father of two sons, Larry and John.
Survived by son John, grandson David, granddaughter Jamie, and his bulldog Spunky Jr.
Herschel was a God fearing man. He loved his family, his dogs and the dawgs. As he would always say, "All I got to say is, go dawgs!"
May fond memories and the love of one another continued to comfort the Walker family for your loss. Please know that God is close to the broken-hearted. He will continue to help you get through these most difficult times “Psalm 147:3” and “John 5:28,29”
